Absolutely fabulous meal last night, the steak pie that was brimming with tender tasty steak in a rich succulent sauce all topped off with golden puff pastry washed down with fine ale, the perfect accompaniment to a bit of father and son time. Already winning accolades for their beer garden and the warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere that Chris and Jamie have nurtured at the Arms surely recognition of the quality of their food is assured, thank you guys!

We visited this place yesterday for a family celebration. The meal was excellent, served good and hot and generous portions. Service was friendly and the hosts looked after us very well indeed, just going that bit further to make the occasion enjoyable. Would happily recommend...More

Big things are on the way for a "little gem of a pub" in Bath after lockdown.
Chris Lewis and his partner Jamie took over the Fairfield Arms in July last year, despite the coronavirus pandemic, and have gone from strength to strength ever since.
They opened on August 14 with a beer garden that pulled in hordes of thirsty residents.
Now, with summer in sight, they have signed a five-year lease on the pub and have big plans in store
Locals have depended on their roast dinners all year
"It such a little gem of a pub and if we can get through Covid we can get through anything.
"We have got a suntrap in the garden where we get the sun from morning until night.
"Now we have started doing up the side garden. It’s a nice patch of ground and some people have been coming here for 20 years and they didn’t know about it!"

Don’t miss the Sunday Roast and definitely have Chris’ signature Garlic Mushrooms! Such reasonable prices, huge portions of grub...It’s so great to have a local to head to for a nice meal and glugs. If you’re heading there Thursdays through Sundays, make sure you book a table in advance!

Just had the nicest 3 course roast dinner.
Brocoli and stilton soup to start, roast beef and then apple pie and cream to finish. All for under £15 for 3 courses. Sounds cheap and nasty but was lovely. All fresh veg, home made yorkies and I think home made apple pie. Well worth the money.
Good luck to the new owners and I’ll defo be back for a brekkie when I’m working in the area

Great food, great company, great pub! I can thoroughly recommend the lasagne & the faggots, very tasty, big portions & fantastic value for money. Wish it was my local & not just my temporary one 😊
